2002 Z3 Coupe | Topaz Blue | Black

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8431/7492745434_81b3a42f32_z.jpg

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on goo-net.com in Nara, Japan with only 1,945 km (1,208 miles). This is the lowest mileage Coupe I remember ever seeing. Adding to the rareness, beyond the mileage, is Topaz Blue paint, sunroof delete, and an automatic transmission. The seller is currently accepting offers, and assuming they know what they have, I don’t imagine it will go cheaply.

1998 Z3 Coupe | Arctic Silver | Black

1998 Z3 Coupe | Arctic Silver | Black | AC Schnitzer Type IV 19 Inch

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on sulit.com.ph in Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines with under 60k miles for P 1,300,000 ($~30,296 USD). Mods include: 19″ AC Schnitzer Type IV wheels, Sonar Projectors, clear corner lights, aftermarket suspension, and a 3 spoke M steering wheel. The 3 spoke M steering wheel became standard beginning in 2000 for all Z3 variants. This 1998 must have had the original 4 spoke wheel swapped out at some point. Based upon the automatic transmission, headlight washers, and non-European plate sized bumper cutout, I believe this Coupe was imported to the Philippines from Japan. Japan has a strict and costly inspection program, “Shaken“, that causes many low mileage vehicles to be exported due to the high cost of maintaining them. Given the proximity of the two countries, this seems like a logical explanation.

1999 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Walnut

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Walnut

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale in Hyogo, Japan on goo-net.com with 44,000 km (27,340  miles) for $11,450. It looks very clean, as it should, with only 27k miles. The sunroof delete Coupe has an automatic transmission, which seems to be common for Z3 Coupes in Japan. All of the Z3 Coupes I have seen from Japan have automatics. I wonder why that is the case? While not quite as nice as this Walnut extended leather with brushed aluminum trim Coupe, the Walnut interior does look great with Hellrot paint. It also has less than half the miles, and is nearly $7k less. I’m curious what it would take to import this Coupe from Japan – anybody know? Aside from 17″x7.5″, 17″x8.5″ Style 97 E46 3 Series wheels, aftermarket suspension and a navigation unit it appears to be all stock.

S50B32 M Coupe | Matte Black | Imola/Black

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7047/6942310701_fda849485b_z.jpg

This M Coupe was posted on jonsibal.com in a blog post covering the BMW Familie 2010 event hosted by Studie at Fuji Speedway in Japan. The annual event is held to bring together all BMW owners and clubs in Japan. Studie brought out numerous cars as taxis for the track, along with many more for attendees to check out. Looks like a very cool gathering! This M Coupe was one of the attendees at the event. It has quite a few mods that aren’t often seen, namely the BMW Aero Side Grilles. They are no longer available from BMW, but are still stocked at random places around the world. A handful of sets showed up recently in Germany, and they’ve appeared on eBay occasionally. Additional mods include: Hamann front splitter, aftermarket hood vents, matte black paint/vinyl, gloss black painted/powder coated Roadstars, aftermarket suspension, racing seats and an aftermarket spoiler.

2002 Z3 Coupe | Topaz Blue | Black

2002 Z3 Coupe | Topaz Blue | Black | Japan

This Z3 Coupe was listed for sale in Hyogo, Japan on goo-net.com for $14,930 with 43,000 km (26,718 miles). This has to be a very rare Coupe. Japanese market, M54 engine, Topaz paint, automatic transmission, with a sunroof delete. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is the only one like it in Japan. The Coupe appears to be all stock, with the exception of some old school in car audio including a “flip-out screen” headunit, DVD player where the CD changer would normally be located, and a MiniDisc (!!!) changer in the center cubby. They have the Coupe listed as a 2003, but I’m assuming it’s a 2002.
