1999 Z3 Coupe | Alpine White | Walnut

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Alpine White | Walnut | Automatic Transmission | Sunroof Delete

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on autoseller.it in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy with 63,580 km (39,506 miles) for € 10,000 (~$12,535 USD). If I had to use one word to describe this Coupe, it would be ‘ideal’. My wife has wanted a Coupe for sometime now, and this one would be perfect for her. Alpine White over Walnut with Chrome Line trim, sunroof delete and an automatic transmission. It even has low miles, and a reasonable price to boot. The only way it could get any better if it had an M54 (3.0) engine, and extended leather. Those are quite unimportant to her, though. This single owner Coupe appears to be all stock, with the exception of the staggered Style 135 18″ wheels from a Z4 or E46 M3, and an unknown brand of exhaust.

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Black

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Black | Hamann | Ac Schnitzer

My friend and fellow Coupe fanatic, Jon, stumbled across this Coupe and sent it my way. It’s posted for sale on autotrader.co.za in Kyalami, South Africa. Yep, the Kyalami for which Kyalami Orange was named. Initially, Jon was hoping that with Kyalami in the search result that this was an Alpine White over Kyalami Coupe, but no dice. The interior is Black. Which isn’t bad, but seeing an AW/KO M Coupe would be pretty cool. The RHD, sunroof delete Coupe is listed for R179,950 (~$21,739 USD) with 107,000 km (66,487 miles). Mods include Hamann rear diffuser, Hamann side skirts, AC Schnitzer exhaust, AC Shnitzer shift knob and e-brake handle, AC Schnitzer pedal covers, front splitters. I don’t recognize the front splitters. AC Schnitzer makes a two piece splitter set, but it looks much different. Hamann makes a front splitter, but it is all one piece that attaches to the bottom of the bumper. Anybody recognize these splitters? If so, please post in the comments.

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Estoril/Black

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Estoril/Black | Japan

This M Coupe was posted for sale on goo-net.com in Saitama, Japan for $29,110 with 30,000 km (18,641 miles). For the US there were 9 Alpine White over Estoril/Black Coupes produced, of which only 4 were sunroof deletes, with all but 1 having an S52 under the hood. There have to be very few of these, if more than 1, in Japan. Mods include: BBS RG-F wheels (my best guess), AC Schnitzer splitters, KW Suspension, aftermarket exhaust (I don’t recognize the design), AC Schnitzer shift knob, e-brake handle and pedal covers, black kidney grille surrounds, navigation, and some sort of display mounted near the rear view mirror (maybe a backup camera?).

1999 Z3 Coupe | Alpine White | Walnut

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Alpine White | Walnut

This Z3 Coupe was listed for sale on autotrader.com by Silver State Imports of Raleigh, NC for $11,995 with 106,137 miles. This is my absolute favorite Z3 Coupe color combination. Given the opportunity for an automatic in this same color combo, I’d be looking to buy it for my wife. She hasn’t always been a big fan of the Coupe, but over the last 4 years that I have owned one, her interest has grown from thinking they look nice, to wanting one of her own. I’ve tried many, many times to teach her to drive mine, but she is just too wary of “messing something up”. That said, her ideal Coupe would be the same AW/Walnut pictured here, but with an automatic. Not something I’m likely to find for sale in good shape, at a reasonable price anytime soon. One day though, maybe… This one came to my attention after it was posted on bimmerforums.com by clevertd. He was working towards buying it himself, but after some concerns arose during a PPI, and the dealer wouldn’t budge on the price, it sounds like he may have changed his mind.

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Gray/Black

2000 M Coupe | Alpine White | Gray/Black

This M Coupe was listed for sale by Car One in Santa Monica, CA for $19,995 with 106,094 miles. This was actually listed back in December, but I just stumbled across it on Craigslist now. Based upon the Carfax, it’s always been a California car, and has been dealer maintained. It was sold at auction 6/24/11 with 106,093 miles, so based upon the currently listed miles (106,100 in the photo below), it hasn’t really been driven since it was sold at auction. I imagine the price is a bit of a turn of to potential buyers. It’s not all that high for the rareness of the Coupe (1 of 9 Alpine White over Gray/Black), but for with 100k miles, it likely turns off buyers. 100k+ really isn’t much of an issue for any of the Z3/M engines (my S54 has nearly 115k and is going strong, and my previous M52 had 122k with no issues when I sold it), but there is a bit of a psychological barrier for a 12 year old car and that mileage. I’ve mentioned it many times, but white is such a great color on Coupes, and quite rare with only 103 (3.6%) AW M Coupes sold quite uncommon.  The Dark Gray leather is also very nice, and from the photos looks like it is in excellent shape for the mileage. It appears to be all stock.
