1999 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black | Part II

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black

Yesterday I posted photos of Alex’s Hellrot Z3 Coupe. After posting the photos I found on BFc, I asked if he had a couple more. He was kind enough to send me quite a few more, including some from a recent photo shoot he did. I thought rather than editing the initial post, or waiting, that I would share them today. The more I look at his Coupe, the more I like it. Everything fits together so well — The stance, wheels, paint color, blacked out roof — it looks great! I’m really digging the location for the photo shoot in contrast with the Coupe. Well done Alex, well done.

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black

This Z3 Coupe was posted by 93is (Alex) on bimmerforums.com. He purchased the Coupe in April with just over 100k miles for only $8,800. A bargain, if you ask me! This Z3 Coupe was posted on cardomain.com by Slantnose74. Mods include suspension, Rieger Tuning front lip, OEM hatch spoiler and tinted windows. It’s a nice looking Coupe, and the Walnut interior is the icing on the cake. It looks like the owner has some other nice toys too. Viper GTS? Yes please!

2000 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6018/5978497909_6ec83d8b59_o.jpg

I stumbled across this Z3 Coupe, randomly posted on howstuffworks.com by David Hogan. The Coupe appears to be all stock. David had this to say about his Coupe:

David Hogan: I enjoy my 2000 BMW Z3 coupe for a lot of reasons: its eccentric “bread van” design, the capable 2.8-liter six, the slick 5-speed stick, the confident way it corners. With its broad hips and fiery red finish it seems to me to have a personality, and I baby it, seeing that it never encounters snow or even rain, and bringing the odo, so far, to just 17K.

In the five years I’ve owned the car I’ve seen myself–that is, another Z3 coupe–only once. That brought a fleeting moment of solidarity with the other driver, who seemed to be as pleased and surprised as I was.

2000 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black

2000 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red (Bright Red) | Black

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on maxbimmer.com by AirAcura with 70k miles for $12,000 CDN (~$12,480 USD). The owner imported the Coupe from Indiana to Canada, which he makes sounds as simple as adding DRL functionality with the relay. He mentions that “some lights are on”, but doesn;t specify which ones. However, that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in his comment that the Coupe is “clean, original that has not been modded, tracked or abused” — Nor does the fact that it’s dirty in the photos in the for sale ad. Given that the SRS system indicator lights up if you look at it wrong, I’m betting that’s one of the illuminated dash lights. Who knows what the others are. The Coupe appears to be all stock, aside from the drilled rotors that are visible up front.
