This M Coupe was posted for sale on gumtree.co.za in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with 111k km (68,972 miles) for R175,000 (~$21,786 USD). I think most interesting about this Coupe is that there are said to be only ~40 South African Z3 M Coupes imported, all of which were fitted with AC Schnitzer parts. This Coupe shows not ACS parts, but Hamann. The Hamann hatch spoiler, Hamann side grilles and Hamann fog lights are mods not often seen, let alone in combination. They certainly change the look, with the addition of the 20″ wheels, this Coupe looks different than most. While I’m certainly of the opinion “to each their own”, I don’t know that the wheels compliment the Coupes design. The large, angular, narrow spokes, and oversize diameter just seem out of place. The rear wheels have an odd offset and/or width which pulls them inward several inches leaving a large gap between the fender and the wheel (easily resolved with spacers though). The front and rear tires don’t match, which is odd for what appears to be a non-staggered setup. Luckily, any or all of this could easily be reversed back to stock, or changed to suit the new owners taste. Although the Hamann spoiler is mounted with screws, which would require some additional work to return it to the OE hatch design. In the sellers favor is low number of M Coupes in South Africa, so if a buyer is interested in one, there aren’t a lot of options.
