Dorkfest 2012 was held at the BMW Vehicle Distribution Center in Port Hueneme, CA on Saturday August 25th. Attendees started arriving at the VDC about 8am, and the tours commenced about 9:30. The time in between went by incredibly quickly, mostly comprised of meeting and chatting with fellow Coupe enthusiasts along with checking out the 57 different Coupes present. Most every color of Coupe was present, with the exception of Individual colors, and a handful of others.

What an amazing event and weekend! I’m working on editing and posting the photos I took, and should have it all up in the next few days. We ended up with 57 Coupes in attendance, which was an amazing sight. I snapped the photo above after the tour had started of the VDC, and a few Coupes had already left (LAME!). Lots more to come. This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on eBay by tango_feroz of Seattle, Washinton with 140,500 for $10,900, or best offer. The first image from the listing, and the first one in this post, is what caught my attention. It’s a great shot. The Coupe appears to be all stock, aside from the Style 224 wheels from a Z4 (19×8 ET42, 19×9 ET30).

While vacationing in Lincoln Beach, Oregon with my family, I spotted this Z3 Coupe (Oregon plate: ZRX 985) stopped at a light as was passed on the US-101. I had been hoping to see a Coupe while we were up here, and was pleasantly surprised yesterday as we were headed home. I was able to quickly snap a few photos as we passed. It appears to be an all stock 2001 or 2002 Z3 Coupe with Oxford Green paint, and what looks like Walnut leather. A great combo, I might add! This is the second Coupe I’ve seen in the 8 or so years we’ve been vacationing here. Both in Newport, OR, one of the larger cities on the coast. The first was a Steel Gray over Black M Coupe.
