2001 Z3 Coupe | Titanium Silver | Black | Z3 with M Roadstars

This Z3 Coupe was listed for sale on craigslist.org in Danville, CA with 80k miles for $12,400. While the pictures are not very good, it’s interesting to see another Z3 Coupe with M Roadstars mounted. Aside from the Roadstars, the Coupe appears to be all stock.

2000 Z3 Coupe | Oxford Green | Black

I stumbled across a link on bmw-klub.pl posted by wojtan74 to otomoto.pl, a Polish automotive classified listing site. This Z3 Coupe is listed for sale there for zÅ‚ 38,000 (~$13,054 USD) with 65,000 km (40,389 miles). This particular listing caught my eye thanks to the Roadstars.  Z3s typically run a square 17×7.5 ET41 setup, whereas Roadstars are 17×7.5 ET41 17×9 ET8. With the wider rear wheel, and extremely low offset, the rears poke beyond the fender about an inch. With stock ride height, like this Coupe has, they aren’t likely to interfere too much, but are at risk of hitting the quarter panel over significant dips and bumps. Aside from the Roadstars, and vinyl graphics, the Coupe appears to be all stock.

1999 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black

1999 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black | With Z3 M Roadstars

This Z3 Coupe was posted on geilekarre.de by zzzm52. What caught my attention about this Coupe is the Z3 M Roadstars mounted on a non-M Coupe. I’ve seen several photos of this setup before, with the rear wheels poking beyond the rear fender by about an inch. However, in these photos they appear to fit quite well. I’m curious what was required to make them fit this way. I though the engine bay shots looked familiar, and sure enough, I posted this same Coupe before. Mods include (translation from Google):

1999 Z3 Coupe | Cosmos Black | Walnut

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5065/5615096114_a84f8ed215_o.jpg

This Z3 Coupe was posted on pistonheads.com by Nav Dhesi of West Yorkshire, UK with 85,000 miles for £10,475 (~$17,000 USD). The Coupe has had a number of M Coupe features added including dual, rather than single exhaust, M side grilles, an M 3 spoke steering wheel, and style 40 Roadstar wheels. Typically when non-M Coupes mount staggered Roadstars, the rears poke about an inch beyond the rear fender. The seller mentions in the listing that the rear fenders have been pulled to accommodate the added width. It’s difficult to tell from the angle and size of these photos, but it appears like they fit nicely. Due to the added exhaust pipe down the right side of the car, typically the spare tire normally found on a Z3 has to be removed. The headlights have chrome trim rings, meaning they came from a 2000+ Z3/M. The seller also mentions that this was LHD when purchased in Belgium, but was converted to RHD in the UK. That seems like an excessive change to make, but I suppose is possible. All in all, it’s an interesting Coupe, and has the best non-M interior, Walnut.

1999 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black

This unique Z3 Coupe is owned by bmwleo of Zroadster.com. It is a 99 Hellrot Z3 Coupe with black interior. That in and of itself is not all that unique. What initially caught my eye was the white powder coated Roadstars. It’s not typically something that I would like, but I think it looks pretty good on his Coupe. I don’t know how he has done it, but the Roadstars look like they have great fitment on his non-M Coupe. Normally the rear wheels would poke about 25mm, but his sit flush. I assume he has made some modifications to get them to fit like they do. I don’t know the details, but this Coupe was recently totaled and parted by the owner.
