Dorkfest 2012 | Part I
Dorkfest 2012 was held at the BMW Vehicle Distribution Center in Port Hueneme, CA on Saturday August 25th. Attendees started arriving at the VDC about 8am, and the tours commenced about 9:30. The time in between went by incredibly quickly, mostly comprised of meeting and chatting with fellow Coupe enthusiasts along with checking out the 57 different Coupes present. Most every color of Coupe was present, with the exception of Individual colors, and a handful of others.

Dorkfest 2012 Preview
5 of us met up at Gary’s shop in North Hollywood, Minicorsa, for a while before heading further north to the hotel in Camarillo. Thanks for letting us stop by, Gary! We’re at the hotel now, where there are 19 Coupes spread across the lot. I’d post a photo, but you wouldn’t be able to see much. Looking forward to Dorkfest tomorrow! Spotted: S52B32 M Coupe | Imola Red | Imola/Black
As I was headed to the airport on Monday, I spotted a Coupe in Tualitin, OR. This time we were headed the same direction. It was an Imola over Imola/Black with flat M badges and non-chrome trimmed headlights, making it a 1999 or 2000 with an S52 under the hood. The Roadstars seem to be darker than the Hyper Silver but brighter than Chrome Shadow, so I’m guessing they have been refinished. It was pretty cool seeing 2 Coupes in the same weekend while I was in Oregon. That’s more than I’ve seen in Phoenix in a year.
