Dorkfest 2012 Preview
5 of us met up at Gary’s shop in North Hollywood, Minicorsa, for a while before heading further north to the hotel in Camarillo. Thanks for letting us stop by, Gary! We’re at the hotel now, where there are 19 Coupes spread across the lot. I’d post a photo, but you wouldn’t be able to see much. Looking forward to Dorkfest tomorrow! 1998 M Coupe | Arctic Silver | Imola/Black
This M Coupe was posted on gumtree.com in Stirling, UK with 93,000 miles for £9,750 (~$15,140 USD). The seller has owned it for 5 years, but needs to sell due to a job relocation. He indicates that it has been maintained at any expense, including having the VANOS replaced. It is all stock aside from carbon fiber look badges all around, and the Roadstars have been refinished in anthracite paint. I think the darker finish looks great against the Arctic Silver paint. The Arctic Silver over Imola Red is a rare combo in North America with only 32 sold. With only 821 RHD S50 M Coupes in Europe compared to 2,180 LHD S52 M Coupes in NA, this is likely an even more rare combo. It’s a great looking Coupe.

1999 Z3 Coupe | Arctic Silver | Black
This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on blocket.se in Brokind, Sweden with 11,000 mil (1 mil = 10km, so 110,000 km or 68,350 miles) for 105,000 SEK (~$15,757 USD). This Coupe reminds me of Gary Akopyan’s previous Z3 Coupe, primarily because of the red Time Attack style stripe on the black wheels combined with the ride height and Arctic Silver paint. Mods include: Aftermarket suspension, 3 spoke M steering wheel, painted Style 42 wheels (I think they’re Style 42, at least), and Remus cat-back exhaust.

This non-dealer version model was just recently listed on eBay with a starting bid of $49.99 or a Buy It Now of $75. Both have an additional s/h fee of $12. Seems like a fair price for a sought after 1/18 scale model and color.
