This Coupe was posted on bimmerforums.com by DrBobOh. He purchased the all stock, 71k mile M Coupe in February of 2008 from his father, whom was the second owner. Something interesting he mentions about the Coupe is that the drivers side visor has been signed by Lance Armstrong. His father is a cancer survivor, and his appreciation for Lance Armstrong Foundation was a contributing factor in his purchase of the Coupe in Dakar (the same color as the Livestrong bracelets sold as a fundraiser for the foundation). There are a few additional photos of the Coupe in the linked threads.

S54B32 M Coupe | Phoenix Yellow
This M Coupe was posted on autogespot.com by daisje after spotting the coupe in Heemstede, NL. I can’t identify the interior color from the photos. The Coupe appears to be all stock. This cracks me up — the poster commented “wel grappig kleurtje”, which in Dutch means funny color. I’d agree, but knowing how uncommon Phoenix Yellow is, you’ve gotta appreciate it for it’s uniqueness and rarity.

2000 Z3 Coupe | Hellrot Red | Black
This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on maxbimmer.com by AirAcura with 70k miles for $12,000 CDN (~$12,480 USD). The owner imported the Coupe from Indiana to Canada, which he makes sounds as simple as adding DRL functionality with the relay. He mentions that “some lights are on”, but doesn;t specify which ones. However, that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in his comment that the Coupe is “clean, original that has not been modded, tracked or abused” — Nor does the fact that it’s dirty in the photos in the for sale ad. Given that the SRS system indicator lights up if you look at it wrong, I’m betting that’s one of the illuminated dash lights. Who knows what the others are. The Coupe appears to be all stock, aside from the drilled rotors that are visible up front.

1999 M Coupe | Arctic Silver | Press Photo
I stumbled across this BMW M Coupe press photo on a random website during my regular searching for post content. I don’t remember seeing this shot before, so I thought it was worth posting. The quality of the image isn’t very good. That could be a function of the site I found it, the film (I’m guessing it was shot with actual film), or the editing process. Regardless, I like the composition of the photo. Given the low quality of the image it is hard to identify much detail. It looks like the Roadstars are Hyper Silver, and it seems like the M badge on the side grille is flat. The headlights aren’t detailed enough to identify if they have chrome trim rings, although the kidney grille slats almost look to have chrome on the leading edge. That said, I still think this is most likely a 1999 but I’m not sure if it would have an S50 or S52 under the hood. I would guess that like many of the other press photos it’s a Euro M Coupe with an S50.

S50B32 M Coupe | Dakar Yellow
This M Coupe was posted on flickr.com by nordschleifenfan. The photo, as you might have assumed, was taken on the Nordschleife at Nurburgring. It looks like the Coupe has the full Hamann exterior catalog installed, in addition to the Hamann PG2 wheels. This includes front bumper, headlight “mouldings” (eye lids), side grilles, side skirts, side mirrors, roof spoiler, and hatch spoiler. Dakar is a rare color, for the US, with only 51 ever sold, of which 37 had a sunroof. With only 14 Dakar, sunroof delete M Coupes in the US, I would assume that outside the US this is an equally, if not more rare example. Of the 51 US Dakar M Coupes, two have a Kyalami interior. Wouldn’t that be interesting to see!
