S50 to S62 Conversion | 1999 M Coupe | Dakar Yellow | Gray/Black | Carbon Goeke Spoiler Wing

This M Coupe was posted on z3mcoupe.com by M-Center of Moscow, Russia. The Coupe started it’s life as an S50B32 engined Coupe, and now has an 8 cylinder S62B50 from an E39 M5, producing nearly 500 hp. That kind of power necessitates reinforcement of the stock trunk floor. M-Center strengthened the floor and utilized a dual ear E36 M3 diff cover by adding a second hanger. The S62 engine is significantly taller than the stock S50 engine, thus requiring modifications to allow the hood to close. A Vac Motorsports dry sump oil system, which not only ensures that the engine won’t be starved of oil on the track, allows removal of the S62 oil pan allowing crucial clearance to be added to the engine bay. Plumbed from the engine bay is a hatch mounted 3 gallon dry sump tank containing the oil.  Aside from the engine and chassis mods there are plenty more: Custom exhaust, 6 speed E39 M5 transmission, ceramic clutch, Fidanza LTW flywheel, custom length driveshaft, Porsche 911 GT3 RS 997 brakes, KW V3 coilovers, H&R struts, BBS LM wheels, Nitto AE01 tires, custom roll cage, Sparco EVO Plus seats, Schroth seat belts, a what looks to me like a Carbon Goeke spoiler. All in all, this a very cool one-of-a-kind M Coupe.

1999 M Coupe | Estoril Blue | Estoril/Black

1999 M Coupe | Estoril Blue | Estoril/Black | South Africa Hamann

This M Coupe was posted for sale on gumtree.co.za in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with 111k km (68,972 miles) for R175,000 (~$21,786 USD). I think most interesting about this Coupe is that there are said to be only ~40 South African Z3 M Coupes imported, all of which were fitted with AC Schnitzer parts. This Coupe shows not ACS parts, but Hamann. The Hamann hatch spoiler, Hamann side grilles and Hamann fog lights are mods not often seen, let alone in combination. They certainly change the look, with the addition of the 20″ wheels, this Coupe looks different than most. While I’m certainly of the opinion “to each their own”, I don’t know that the wheels compliment the Coupes design. The large, angular, narrow spokes, and oversize diameter just seem out of place. The rear wheels have an odd offset and/or width which pulls them inward several inches leaving a large gap between the fender and the wheel (easily resolved with spacers though). The front and rear tires don’t match, which is odd for what appears to be a non-staggered setup. Luckily, any or all of this could easily be reversed back to stock, or changed to suit the new owners taste. Although the Hamann spoiler is mounted with screws, which would require some additional work to return it to the OE hatch design. In the sellers favor is low number of M Coupes in South Africa, so if a buyer is interested in one, there aren’t a lot of options.

S50B32 M Coupe | Estoril Blue | Estoril/Black | Zeemax Side Skirts Bumper Fenders Spoiler Wing

This M Coupe was posted on aussieexotics.com by  allanuber. He has a number of aero parts that I’ve only seen a few times, and not in a while. Namely the Zeemax front and rear bumper, hatch spoiler, side skirts, and front fenders. The vented bumpers and front fenders are much different than any of the other options out there. BMW sold a 3 piece hatch spoiler similar to this (which is no longer available), but I like the look of the Zeemax spoiler better. It’s just a bit more subtle, and seems to flow with the body better. Additional mods include AC Schnitzer Type II roof spoiler, exhaust, brakes, and wheels. Based upon the non-chrome trim ringed headlights, and flat M badges this is a 98 or 99 with an S50 under the hood.

This M Coupe was posted on bmwpower-bg.net by oxam. The Coupe is also listed on pistonheads.com in London with 35,000 miles for £22,000 (~$33,781 USD). It has been heavily modified with a slew of top notch parts. While the mods won’t be to everyone’s taste, it does make for a very unique Coupe. Adding to the uniqueness is the aftermarket extended leather dash, with further tweaks added to the interior including door panels and center console. Complete mods list below.
