1999 Z3 Coupe | Cosmos Black | Walnut

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe | Cosmos Black | Walnut | DSII Style 39 Wheels

This Z3 Coupe was posted for sale on anibis.ch in Langenthal, Switzerland with 156,000 km (96,934 miles) for 9,700 CHF (~$10,665 USD). This sunroof delete Coupe caught me eye thanks to the DSII (Style 39) wheels, which I don’t remember seeing on a Coupe before. Interestingly, Felgen Katalog lists them as “M Double Spoke II” as an option for Z3 Roadsters and Coupes, with the exception of the M Roadster and Coupe. I suppose that could apply to markets outside of North America, given that individual color options were available. M 3 spoke steering wheels and M shift knobs can be found in many (if not all) Z3s beginning in 2000, so the fact that the DSII wheels are M doesn’t mean much. The seller lists a number of mods including PowerFlex bushings, H&R sway bars, and Hartge suspension. In the photos you can see some sort of aftermarket BMW roundels or decals, along with a Panasonic head unit.

The Coupe was recently repainted to eliminate the typical rocks chips and such from normal usage. The automatic Coupe appears to be all stock aside from tinted windows, and an aftermarket head unit.

2002 Z3 Coupe | Jet Black | Black

2002 Z3 Coupe | Jet Black | Black | Netherlands

This Z3 was posted on autowereld.nl in Hoogeveen, Netherlands with 102,667 km (63,794 miles) for €19,950 (~$26,238 USD). It seems like it has been quite well cared for — the paint is nice and glossy, and the interior looks better than I would expect for 64k miles. I don’t see many Z3 Coupes with the optional brushed aluminum trim, but I greatly prefer it to the wood trim found in so many. I had wood trim in my first Coupe, and never liked it. The aluminum looks really sharp, especially next to the rest of the interior in black. The automatic transmission doesn’t seem to have much of a demand, but there are certainly people out there who would prefer it. It does, however, narrow an already slim market of buyers. I’m not too sure about the pricing, but it would be at least $10k too high in the US. Can any European readers comment on the reasonability of the price?

2002 Z3 Coupe | Pistachio Green | Walnut

2002 Z3 Coupe | Pistachio Green | Walnut

This Z3 Coupe was listed for sale in Schulzendorf, Germany on autoscout24.eu with 158,000 km (98,176 miles) for €12,899 (~$16,410 USD).  Pistachio is a very uncommomn color to see on a Z3, let alone a Coupe. The seller mentions it’s one of ten, but calls the color “olive” – I’m not sure how much stock to put in that statistic given that the color is not “olive”, per se. The wheels look OEM, but I was not able to identify a Style number for them. If they look familiar, please post in the comments. The seller also identifies the suspension as “original Schnitzer”, but I’m not aware of AC Schnitzer suspension being available as an option. I suppose the dealer could have sold it that way. The sunroof delete Coupe does have a few obvious, and identifiable mods though. Chrome door handle covers, and an M badge on the hatch. Aside from that, it appears all stock.

2000+ Z3 Coupe | Titanium Silver | Dream Red

2000, 2001, or 2002 Z3 Coupe | Titanium Silver | Dream Red

These excellent photos were posted on flickr.com by Zukov of Russia. It’s been a while since I’ve seen simple shots of a Coupe that turned out so well. I’m just an amateur, but I have no criticism of these photos at all. The Coupe appears to be all stock, aside from tint. Based upon the chrome trim ringed headlights, and chrome trimmed kidney grille slats, this is a 2000 or newer Coupe, meaning the silver paint is Titanium, rather than Arctic found on earlier models. That said, there could be either an M52 or M54 under the hood. In the last photo you can just see the Dream Red extended leather dash. Looks like a very nice and clean Z3 Coupe.
